The environment of Lab:
The Cisco documentation is available in the lab room, but the exam is going to assume the knowledge of the more technologies and common protocols. The documentation could be navigated using the index. Also, you wouldn’t be allowed any outside reference materials are permitted in the lab room. You would have to report any suspected equipment issues during the exam to the proctor; once the exam is over adjustments cannot be made.
Grading of Lab Exam:
The labs are graded by proctors who are going to ensure that all the criteria have been met or not. They are going to use automatic tools in order to gather data from the routers in order to perform preliminary evaluations. The Candidates must have reached a minimum threshold in all the three sections and achieving an overall passing score.
Lab Exam Format:
Lab exam is divided into three modules. Firstly, the Troubleshooting modules which will be consisting of 2 hours, but if desired, candidates can extend the Troubleshooting module's time by borrowing up to 30 minutes from the Configuration module. Note that the total Configuration module time will be reduced by the extra times which are spending in the Troubleshooting module if any, up to 30 min. If the candidates clear the Troubleshooting module early, the unused time of the Troubleshooting module will be added to the Configuration module time, ensuring that the total lab exam time won’t be exceeding of a total of 8 hours.
